Bathroom remodeling

Most contractors will not put a number or a timeline in writing. Here are ours. Most bathrooms run $4,500 to $16,000 and take 2 to 7 working days.

What we build

  • Full gut remodels, down to the studs and back
  • Tub to shower conversions
  • Walk in showers and full tile showers
  • ADA conversions with grab bars, low thresholds and wider access
  • New tubs, surrounds, vanities, flooring and fixtures

Cost and timeline

A straightforward tub to shower conversion sits at the low end and can be done in a couple of days. A full gut with custom tile lands toward the top and takes most of a week. When we look at your bathroom, you get a fixed number for your exact job.

The Roundhouse restoration approach

We build bathrooms to last. Waterproofing, ventilation and a solid substrate come first, since that is what keeps a shower watertight years down the road. We use materials made for wet rooms and follow the right order of work from demo to the final bead of caulk.

Reputation matters to us. Our crews show up on schedule, keep the workspace clean, and walk the finished bathroom with you before we consider the job done. Most of our remodel work comes from referrals and we intend to keep it that way.

Pricing

What moves the price inside the range

Every bathroom lands somewhere between $4,500 and $16,000, and these are the things that decide where yours falls.

Scope

A tub to shower conversion touches one wall. A full gut touches all of them, plus the floor and everything behind the walls.

Tile or surround

A quality surround installs in a day and keeps the budget down. Full custom tile looks incredible and adds days of skilled labor.

Fixtures and finishes

Vanities, faucets and shower hardware run from builder grade to statement piece. We install what fits your budget and tell you where spending more actually shows.

Moving plumbing

Keeping the toilet, sink and shower where they are keeps costs down. Moving them means opening the floor, and the price follows.

Accessibility

Grab bars, low thresholds, benches and wider access are modest additions on their own. A full ADA conversion is scoped as its own project.

Step by step

Your bathroom remodel process

Step 1

Look and quote

We look at the bathroom, talk through what you want, and give you a fixed written number for your job. Not a range, a number.

Step 2

Selections and schedule

You pick the tile, surround, vanity and fixtures. We order everything before demo day so the job never stalls waiting on a part.

Step 3

Build and walkthrough

Demo, rough in, board, tile or surround, fixtures, paint and trim. Most bathrooms run 2 to 7 working days, and we walk the finished room with you before we call it done.

Questions

Bathroom remodel FAQs

Can we use the bathroom during the remodel?
Not the one being remodeled. If it is your only bathroom, tell us up front and we plan the sequence so a working toilet is out of commission for as little time as possible.
Do you handle the plumbing and electrical?
Yes. Everything behind the walls gets done right and to code, which matters most on the work you will never see again once the tile goes up.
How long does a tub to shower conversion take?
Usually 2 to 3 working days with a surround. Custom tile adds time. Either way you get a real schedule with your quote.
How bad is the dust and mess?
Demo is the messy day, and we contain it. Floors get protected, the doorway gets sealed off, and the site gets cleaned up at the end of every day, not just the last one.
Who picks the materials?
You do, and we help. We will tell you what holds up in a wet room, what we would put in our own house, and where the budget goes furthest.
What warranty comes with a bathroom remodel?
One year of Roundhouse workmanship coverage, plus the manufacturer warranties on the fixtures and materials installed. See the full warranty.
Do you remodel kitchens too?
Yes. See our kitchen remodeling page.
